I tried to do Macro photography almost a year ago. It is a bit difficult to do so just using extension tubes and my trusty 50mm lens! Focusing was totally dependent on the distance of the lens to the subject and was very hard to control. I guess it would be better to use a dedicated macro-lens for this kind of photography. I am sure it would cost me an arm and a leg, or maybe I would just ask more about it.
