New hairstyle?

I've been a fan of The OC and Grey's Anatomy for quite a while now and among the cast of these two shows I really love the hairstyles of Adam Brody and Patrick Dempsey. Wavy and dark, free spirited looking hair, so I thought; "Hey I could do that!". I mean my hair is naturally curly and I haven't had a haircut in a couple of months, my mop head right now could be fixed ala Adam Brody ('cause he's younger and much edgier, I like that). hehehehe
So I photoshoped my picture and borrowed Adam's hair. So, what do you think? Please leave a comment, before I go to the Salon. Carry ko ba to? hehehehehe

My friend and classmate from nursing school Blessie Grace Burias just passed the NCLEX! She has always been consistent with passing all exams for nursing and she's just a little bit closer to fulfilling her dreams. Konti na lang! Wag mo kami kalimutan (ay nakalimutan na nga pala ako!). All those sleepless nights finally paid off! Yehey! Kudos Grace!

Happy House Blessing to Ana!

Last Saturday, the 8th of September, Mike took me along to his friend (and now also my friend) Ana's house. It is the culmination of 9 months of construction and finally her new house is ready for her occupancy, hence the blessing.

And what a blessing it was, over flowing with food and booze! It was a party for the books. Our table consumed 2 big bottles of tequila, the good thing I could still drive (without injuring anyone) after that. The last time I got drunk was ages ago, fortunately, I did not take off my clothes or did anything crazy. That would have been horrendous! hehehe

Thanks again Ana (sexy) and Don Robert! grabe, ang yaman! Pautang! hehehe

Should I or should I not change Phones?

Around this time for the last five years or so, I have been bugged by a question regarding my cellphone. Should I change it or should I just stick with the unit I am using now? Decisions. Decisions. Decisions. I came upon this print ad of BPI featuring 3 cellphones, each one better and more recently released than the other. It has a caption that goes like: Should you upgrade your cellphone? or upgrade your life? Well it kinda hit home with me.

I am using an O2 mini xda phone right now and with my phone line contract ending soon I would again be asked by my network to chose a new phone that would come with my new contract. In my previous contract retention, I would actually pick not the ones that came free, but one that would usually require me to pay some more money. This year I have my eyes set on the new Sony Ericsson P1i. I'm still having second thoughts though because I have grown to love the phone I have now, it works fine for me and is still in good shape. It has several dings here and there but still mighty great looking!

But a new spanking phone is really great too! It would cost a fortune, but imagine the social promotion that comes with it. Damn!

Are we all so shallow that upgrading our cellphone unit to the much newer model has become a necessity? Am I this shallow? We all want things, that's a given; but up to what extent are we willing to give in to them?

I am hoping that when I answer this question, my answer would be to upgrade my life. It is not a certainty though, since I'm a believer that one upgrades the things they use, it would inherently improve their life as well. That is my justification. Yes, I am that shallow! I am only human.

The good thing is, I cannot afford that Sony Ericsson P1i. It is true that the poor are blessed for they shall inherit the earth. Hmmmmmm, aint I lucky? hehehehehehe

Kitchen Renovation

The Mom of my friend Jane (now in the US), contacted me recently to assist them in the renovation of their kitchen. The existing enclosed kitchen would be opened into the mixed living and dining area. Opening their kitchen would mean one wall would be torn down, creating a vast kitchen-dining-living area. Its an ideal remodel that would consolidate these spaces becoming their home-central suite!

I've already made my plans for this kitchen remodel, the challenge was for me to use materials that are termite and moisture proof since that was an issue in their old kitchen. It meant not using any wood broduct whatsoever! Huh? I wont promise I wouldn't use wood, but I'll try. hehehehehehe

...and did I mention we're all pressed for time? Aha! This remodel should be done in two weeks! We haven't even started yet! Ay Caramba! hehehehehe

So help us God!

Certified Photoshop Addict

I've had this Photoshop 7.0 installer for a while, and I've installed it into my PC once and again everytime I would need to install stuff. Not because I've been using it, but because it kind of looked nice there; just sitting on my desk top. It just seems so professional! Hmmmm. hehehehehe.
Everytime the need came that I would tweak stuff on my photos; I would actually use a different program. The Microsoft Picture it! suite has a simple interface, absolutely very elementary if you ask me. Anyone who could see and use the mouse could do it!
So compared to Photoshop 7.0, Microsoft picture it! was a stroll in the park. And just the mere glance at the Photoshop 7.0 gui would surely overwhelm the seasoned Picture it! user such as I am.
Until 2 weeks ago, I've decided to finally use the Photoshop 7.0 program. Nothing was gonna hold me back. I told myself "I'm professional, I could do it!". It was an upgrade as far as I was concerned. Eto na! Ibang level na to! Kaya ko nga ang Autocad at 3D studio VIZ, eto pa kaya! I was trying to psych myself! hehehehehe

So I did it, and I loved it. I got hooked the very first time I moved and clicked my mouse on its gorgeous gui. Haaaaay! It was love at first click!

Now, after viewing some instructional videos at Youtube.com about Photoshop, I even upgraded to its latest version, the CS3! Woohooooo! hehehehehe

Here I am right now, Photoshop-whoring each and every photograph I have in my hard drive. Trying to brighten up one thing or another, and experimenting on what more the program can do to improve God's bounty. Hehehehehe. Waaaaaaah! Gusto ko na matulog!

If this be my addiction, at least I've made everyone stored in my pictures album a tad closer to perfection. Hate them all because they're beautiful. Hehehehehe

Thanks to Photoshop!
